Hello Andreas, great video, really well explained. One question, when you talk about North America, do you refer to Canada, US and Mexico? Or just the first two? As a mexican I know we belong to NA but in some contexts NA is considered Canada and the US only. If so, would 915 mhz work for Mexico? What about the rest of the Americas? Thanks a lot for your reply, I just subscribed to your channel! 😁
You are my mendor !! I am Watching you from Greece !! I want to learn enrything from you, so i can teaching my son. You are the best Andreas !!
Great video. One comment is that its more a thing of band(the frequencies which are being used) rather than the bandwidth that determines how well the signal transmits. That is because depending on the frequency, more or less energy will be absorbed in a given medium. you could have signals in two bands that have the same bandwidth, but are centered at different frequencies and they will be attenuated differently.
Love yhe videos
can we make p2p connection of lora but using Raspberry Pi as controller?
Excellent; Good explanation…
Great instructions.thanks
Bardzo ciekawy i nowy dla mnie temat. Obejrzalem z duzym zainteresowaniem. Dziekuje i pozdrawiam.
I’d like to see what can be done in LoRa today if you get this share your thoughts? Maybe a few ideas.
Great explanation, thanks for the knowledge, I am asking if I could send a light audio file using Lora network?
Excellent.
hello, a gateway doesn't constitute the WAN part – not?
what is the difference between a LoRa-gateway and LoRaWAN?
Another first class explanation, wish you all the success you deserve.
how can i make end nodes only send one measurement every day or every week
Where can I buy a SX1278 (Ra-02) LoRa with 868 MHz fgor EU? I only see 433 MHz boards.
Hi Andreas, prima video, 73 de Rolf DJ7TH
Thank you so much for this informative video Andreas. What is a good reference for an introduction to the basics of antenna and other fundamentals you spoke of?
Like link budget, antennas, etc.
Sir, I have this burning question for a long time but I haven’t been able to find an answer yet. Hopefully you can help.
So I have made a smart lock that is controlled via an app. The app and the lock communicate via firebase. Now I want to scale this project and make it commercial, BUT I don’t know how can I connect numerous different locks to the database each with their own unique id when in the Arduino code the only way to link the hardware to firebase is the auth id and token.
What methods do commercial IoT applications use to allow customers from different places connect their hardware to their respective accounts via the app?
Please help
…when your device says "Hi" instead of "hello world" because you don't want to use too much bandwidth. 🙂
best video and this is a 1000 comment! yay!
If my IoT device is connected to a LoRa; can I use the LoRa network to upload my data directly to my database on Google Cloud (for example)?
You can't get around collision domain limits. This favors atomization of gatways, hard wired to ipv4/6 infrastructure.
HB9BLA DE UA3AHM,TNX FER VIDEO!
The video was useful and interesting Sir
Thank you
How to interface lora with pic microcontroller?
"and it is not only limited by law of physics, no, it is even more limited by human law"

Thanks
Nicely made, but, sorry to say, this video is now almost four years old and totally outdated (e.g. it was created even before the first live NB-IoT networks were set up). IMHO it should either be updated or deleted. By the way: in the table 07:55 Sigfox is mixed up with NB-IoT. ROFL.
Definetely not nice to see the TM behind the LoRa, but nice that people are building a free community-network.
Can I use the 433 MHz in Europe? I can only find these modules easily in my country (most of them are 100mW, so are they legal?)
your accent and speed speaking is excellent , even a french can understand you ! 👍👋💖
Thanks a lot Andreas
I'm so happy I found you, rare quality content on yt. May the ohm's law bless you Sir.
My LORA is also powerful
Thanks for your great introduction in that interesting topic 👍🏻
Using a RG85 cable on 868 MHz is the worst of all.
Very good presentation, thank you Andreas!
Just wait until the connection between LPWan and Obi-Wan
Just came across this randomly. Not much LoRa for iot in the states yet but I just tried out one smaller company's water sensor, hub and water main shut-off that used the LoRa tech. While the main downside is that it didn't integrate into any of the standard home hubs due to them being zigbee & zwave, the wireless tech was certainly impressive in my testing. I didn't need enough devices to have the mesh network carry the signal or have to have a repeater. I was even able to close the hub in a metal media panel and it had no problem going from the bottom basement corner to the 3rd floor corner. Certainly nothing a single zigbee or z-wave iot device can do.
That was amazing Andreas! Totally nailed it for me!
Very Well explanation.. Thx u very much!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Hi? Thank you for your nice video. I've learned the Idea of Lora which would be greatly helpful for my new products.
Excellent presentation
